With this in mind, a special breed of people, termed "Trolls" have arisen. These are hectic times to be in the newsroom. Remember when a natural disaster used to be an unexpected, shocking and scary event?  Still shocking and scary, yes, but unexpected they are now not.  On top of a menopausal Mother Nature there are political demonstrations occurring in Egypt plus a war still being fought in the Middle East.  There are a large number of journalists out in these areas providing coverage, whilst risking their lives.  However, with digital media playing such a significant part of society today, maybe they can start taking less risks.
